Chafing is an issue with these shorts May 04, 2012 By M. W. Lerioux
I am a beginner surfer and this was my first pair of board shorts. I blindly bought a pair that were cute for a week-long surfing vacation in Costa Rica. While these are definitely cute and they fit perfectly, I experienced some major chafing while out surfing. The combination of sand, saltwater, and the fact that my thighs touch when I walk or swim produced what looked like major rug-burn on my legs after only about 2 hours in the surf - ouch! It took a day or two to heal and I spent the remainder of the week sufing without shorts and was fine. I ended up donating these shorts to the surf camp, hopefully someone else will have better luck with them than I did.

Not really a flattering fit. They look like they fit lower in the picture than they really do. They come up pretty high in the back. And they feel pretty short. The closure is lame- the velcro comes undone, and so does the string, especially if you're being pulled behind a boat. Buttons or snaps would've been a better idea. The fabric is nice though, and dries fast. They're OK just not super cute.
